Welcome to Season Soul Jewelry! I am a mother of two teen boys, two puppies, and I am happily married to my freshman-year college boyfriend. As a former public school teacher and drama coach, the arts have always been my comfort zone. Creating jewelry is a favorite personal escape, and nature itself my greatest inspiration. Feelings and senses evoked by celebrating each season of life with those we love inspire my beaded jewelry designs. Using a bit of everything from vintage beads, to wood and stone, acrylics, crystal and metal, every piece is original and handcrafted by myself. The real surprise is I rarely ever make two of anything. Designs are one and done, like you! I believe we all are art! 

 

The first piece of jewelry I ever made was a string of noodles. Tied in a knot, I can still see the creation dangling delicately around my mothers neck, her smile and the twinkling pride in her eyes. For me, there was something magical about making that noodle jewelry, creating joy for someone, evoking happiness and celebration. All these years later, that's the same feeling I get every time I complete an original piece.

Like journeying into the great outdoors, Jewelry creation is my personal creative escape. Growing up and living in Michigan, the seasons are bold, strong, powerful, and ever changing. When I feel stagnate, unsure, and one foot doesn't want to move in front of the other, nature brings be back to what is important. The strength of the river flowing reminds me to just release and go the with flow. A strong breeze engulfs, whispering that something mighty is at work. The bright sun embraces, energizes and soothes. Powerful, majestic stillness rests deep in the snow-covered wood, while the soft spring sprout of new life echoes eons of starting again, rejuvenation anew. life is beautifully resilient and will preserver. From these creative moments I design jewelry to wear, give or share, wholly designed to celebrated and spread joy. Energy, texture, light, and the cycle of life is nature's promise, which inspires my Season Soul Jewelry.
